This Darling Point apartment building required window replacement, balustrade and general façade repairs.
The project included a heritage component at the front of the building, which required full Development Application approval. Klaar assisted in obtaining the necessary permissions through innovative design solutions and managed the entire process.
The DA required European-designed high-end double-glazed thermally broken window frames to achieve Basix/Nathers rating. A mix of windows were used to achieve the ratings, depending on sun exposure. The owners did not want any hoods or extensions on the building, so performance requirements were met solely by the windows.
